Edmunds.com, a leading online automotive resource, has reported that Kia Motors America?s 2011 Optima had the highest online shopper consideration when compared to the other models present at the 2010 Los Angeles Auto Show. Edmunds.com calculated consideration based on the number of online visitors who research a particular vehicle while considering a specific category, such as mid-size sedans.
The analysis was done on the consideration data for the days of November 17 and 18; these were the two press days for the LA Auto Show. A good indication of future sales, the data measures effectiveness of marketing which includes the impact of being present at auto shows. On these days consumers bought about 400 models listed on Edmunds.com.
In a press conference Kia Motors America ? KMA stated that its consumer consideration and interest grew from 3.2 percent before the show, to about 15 percent after. Speaking about the success of Kia vehicles, Byung Mo Ahn from KMA said ?Our new generation of vehicles is really resonating with consumers? and credited this to the exhaustive list of standard features provided in the powerful fuel efficient models. Ahn also said that the new design led transformation and aggressive new vehicle introduction cycles were having a positive impact on the overall sales for KMA.
Kia has been building its brand by delivering innovative, top quality, safe vehicles incorporating the latest technology available. The eagerly awaited 2011 line up of Kia models include Sorento CUV, compact Sportage CUV, midsize Optima sedan, Forte 5 door hatchback, sedan and 2-door Forte Koup, Rio sub-compact hatchback and sedan, and the Sedona minivan.
