Kia Among Top 10 Most Reliable Brands

In 2015, Consumer Reports released its Annual Auto Reliability Survey-and it featured data that many Kia drivers already have first-hand experience with. Kia vehicles are some of the most reliable in the world.

Consumer Reports' findings are collected from a survey completed by Consumer Report subscribers. CR's 2015 Annual Auto Reliability Survey is composed of data from more than 740,000 vehicles across the globe, making this survey one of the most thorough of its kind.

Both Kia and Hyundai, sister brands, made much stronger showings this year than in any of the CR's previous annual reports. They finished sixth and ninth, respectively, with Kia knocking Honda out of the top six. That's right, Kia was rated more reliable than Honda.

This table shows how the industry ranks, based on average predicted-reliability scores of each carmaker's models. CR lists whether the brand's rank moved up or down compared to the 2014 survey. Kia went up four rankings.
